David works with NSCS management team to provide technical and project oversight and to help build the NSCS’ community network.
He is the Research Software Engineering group lead and a Chartered IT Professional at the STFC Hartree Centre with 25+ yrs experience in full-stack application innovation. David has built software for the UK National Grid Service, a national data and compute federation for the UK research community, later becoming co-service manager and lead developer for several production e-infrastructure services for EU and UK research communities. David currently leads the Hartree RSE team whose purpose is to unlock the high growth potential of advanced digital for UK industry and is PI/Co-I on several large DRI projects including Smart Manufacturing Data Hub, Heritage Science Data Services and Smart Energy Data Service.
