The NFCS Roadmap
Following the “This is the Roadmap: The NFCS NetworkPlus Reporting Conference” held on 10th and 11th of September, at the Thinktank Science Museum in Birmingham, we are now pleased to share The Roadmap document.
The outcomes, insights, and recommendations from 26 pioneering Flexible Fund projects have been drawn together into a single, wide ranging and detailed report: The Roadmap.
It sets out a practical vision of federating existing and emerging infrastructure through shared standards, trusted identity, security, and governance – without centralising services into a monolith.
Recommendations organised into four bands based on priority and urgency provide the foundations and inform the pathways of what should happen first, what can follow, and how we can move towards a joined-up UKRI digital research infrastructure.
