Adrian is taking a lead on the Governance and Policy pillar of the NFCS Networkplus. He has been working with digital research infrastructure (DRI) for over 25 years.
For much of this period, he was a DRI user developing and running numerical ocean and climate models using a variety of high-performance computing systems. He then spent six years leading a team of Applied Scientists developing the use of weather and climate data to support decision-making. In 2019, Adrian changed direction to move into leadership of software engineering teams supporting weather and climate science. In May 2022 he moved into his current role as Director of JASMIN, with responsibility for oversight of the JASMIN DRI facility, delivering services to support the NERC environmental science community.
