Jeremy Yates

Technical Coordinator

Jeremy is a Technical Co-ordinator for the programme and is involved in defining the flexible funding calls; the review, selection and oversight of projects; collation of outcomes; and preparation of the roadmaps.

He is Emeritus Professor of Computer Science at UCL and has exceptional experience of the UK’s digital research infrastructure landscape through leading, managing and collaborating on many projects including the creation of DiRAC and of IRIS; and the ExCALIBUR Hardware and Enabling Software programme. He led the former National e-Infrastructure Project Directors Group; led cross council work in the area of AAAI;  and co-ordinated the recent AIRR Federation project. Jeremy has also supported, organised, contributed to, and in some cases led the White Papers for the future development of the Digital Research Infrastructure; these remain an important set of documents that inform current policies.
