We’ve funded a range of projects to guide our roadmap for the future
Evaluation of Secure Federated Kubernetes Storage for Trusted Research Environments
This project will explore and evaluate a federated, secure storage solution, enabling researchers to make use of national research infrastructure without losing control of their own security boundaries.
By using Kubernetes, the leading platform for flexible, cloud-based infrastructure, the project will explore a new model where encryption of all research data “at rest” is automated and with federated access control.
The output of this project will be reports, case studies, compliance framework mapping and gap analysis, reference technical architectures, as well as reusable proof of concept of at least one evaluated solution so that other TREs and research communities can readily adopt these best practices.”
