Expressions of interest for the “Understanding challenges and enablers to the use of HPC to enhance healthcare research” workshop
The NFCS funded project “Enhancing HPC adoption through user-centred design” is looking for expressions of interest for their workshop “Understanding challenges and enablers to the use of HPC to enhance healthcare research”.
Organised by: University of the West of England (UWE Bristol)
Date: 17 Dec 2025 (9.30 – 16.30)
Location: Wellcome Trust, London
This one-day workshop will bring together researchers, data scientists, and policymakers to explore how High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Secure Data Environments (SDEs) can accelerate discovery, improve healthcare outcomes, and enable cross-sector innovation. This workshop is part of the UKRI funded project “Enhancing HPC adoption through user-centred design: A roadmap for inclusive innovation in environment, health, and the built environment“
Discussions will focus on:
- Barriers and challenges to HPC adoption in health research
- Trust, governance, and privacy in using patient and clinical data
- Developing a roadmap for inclusive and responsible HPC innovation
Your expertise and experience in health research would make a valuable contribution to shaping the future direction of data-driven and HPC-enabled healthcare innovation.
