On the 26th and 27th of February, the NFCS-NetworkPlus ran its third conference on the Bristol harbourside at the MShed, a museum all about Bristol’s history.

This event brought together all 26 projects funded by NFCS-NP alongside other community stakeholders like researchers, developers, and service providers. Phase 1 projects presented their interim findings, while phase 2 projects, launched before Christmas, showed what they have planed for the next few months.

Karina Rodriguez from the University of Brighton speaking about the "Federation of compute and infrastructures in the Arts and Humanities" project

We welcomed over 100 in-person attendees from research institutions all over the UK, an increase from our previous events and were proud to host presenters from compute research communities across the UK and from established national and international federations. The plenary sessions were focused on “Innovations in Federation and interoperability” in day 1, and “International perspectives on Federation” on day 2.

Our thanks to everyone that joined, and made this such a dynamic event. We hope to see you at the next event, our Roadmap conference on the 10th and 11th of September at Birmingham’s Thinktank.
